1. ABOUT THESE TERMS
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Cowrie Greetings (“Cowrie Greetings”, “we”, “us”, “our”), including our website, digital greeting cards (“Ecards”), digital artwork/images, memberships, personalization tools and delivery services.

By creating an account, purchasing a product, subscribing to Premium, or using a service, you agree to these Terms and the policies linked from our website. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

The business address may be updated as our official business arrangements develop.

3. DIGITAL SERVICES
Cowrie Greetings provides digital products and services. These may include:
• African-inspired Ecards;
• personalized greeting messages and message suggestions;
• scheduled digital delivery;
• standalone digital artwork/images;
• Free Trial access;
• Premium membership; and
• supported email, WhatsApp or other digital delivery channels.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, no physical product is shipped.

4. ACCOUNTS AND ELIGIBILITY
Customers must provide accurate information requested for the service, which may include first name, second name, email address, country/nationality and, where relevant, a WhatsApp number.

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity carried out through your account. You must not impersonate another person, create fraudulent accounts, or attempt unauthorized access.

5. FREE 30-DAY TRIAL
New customers may receive a 30-day Free Trial.

During the Free Trial:
• the complete Ecard catalogue may be browsed;
• Cowrie Greetings selects the Ecards that are available for Free use;
• the Free selection consists of two Birthday designs and one Christmas/New Year offering made up of one Christmas design and one New Year design;
• Free customers may send eligible Free Ecards normally without a per-send limit during the active trial;
• Free customers may use scheduled/advance delivery only once during the entire trial period; and
• Premium is required for Ecards outside the Free selection or for Premium-only features.

Free access expires automatically after 30 days unless the customer upgrades to Premium or another access arrangement is offered.

6. PREMIUM MEMBERSHIP
The planned Premium prices are:
• US$5 per month; or
• US$15 per year.

Premium is intended to provide full access to the Ecard catalogue and Premium features, subject to the features displayed at the time of purchase.

Where recurring billing is used, renewal occurs according to the plan and payment-provider terms shown at checkout. Customers may cancel future renewal using the available cancellation mechanism. Cancellation normally affects future renewal and does not automatically refund a completed billing period.

7. DIGITAL IMAGES
Standalone digital images may be purchased independently of Premium membership. Planned prices range from US$10 to US$35 depending on the artwork.

A purchased image is a digital license to use the supplied file for the permitted personal or commercial use expressly stated at purchase. Unless expressly stated otherwise, copyright and ownership of the underlying artwork remain with Cowrie Greetings or the applicable rights holder.

8. PERSONALIZATION AND MESSAGE SUGGESTIONS
Customers may enter recipient details and personalize Ecard messages. Cowrie Greetings may provide up to three occasion-specific message suggestions.

Customers are responsible for reviewing the final message, recipient information, delivery date and delivery channel before confirming delivery.

9. WATERMARKS AND ARTWORK PROTECTION
Website catalogue previews may contain a light Cowrie Greetings watermark.

Free-plan delivered Ecards may carry a Cowrie Greetings watermark. Premium delivered Ecards are intended to be watermark-free.

Standalone digital images advertised and purchased as watermark-free are supplied without the standard Cowrie Greetings watermark.

Removing a watermark, where technically possible, does not transfer copyright or ownership.

10. PAYMENTS AND CURRENCIES
Paystack is the intended primary payment provider. PayPal may be added later. Stripe is not part of the current payment plan.

Prices may be displayed in US dollars and/or another supported currency. Payment-provider fees, taxes, duties or bank charges may apply where legally or contractually applicable.

Payment information may be processed by the payment provider. Cowrie Greetings does not intend to store full card credentials handled by the payment provider.

11. DELIVERY
Available digital delivery methods may include email and, where enabled, WhatsApp. Additional channels may be introduced later.

Customers are responsible for accurate recipient information, dates and applicable timezone information. Third-party filtering, provider outages, mailbox limits, network problems or messaging restrictions may affect delivery.

12. REFUNDS AND CANCELLATIONS
Refunds and cancellations are governed by the Refund & Cancellation Policy and applicable consumer-protection law.

Nothing in these Terms removes a consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded.

13. ACCEPTABLE USE
You must not use Cowrie Greetings to:
• violate applicable law;
• infringe intellectual-property or privacy rights;
• send fraudulent, threatening, abusive or malicious material;
• distribute malware or attempt unauthorized access;
• impersonate another person or organization; or
• abuse delivery, payment or account systems.

We may suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect customers, the service or third parties.

14. CUSTOMER CONTENT
You retain responsibility for content you submit. You confirm that you have the rights and permissions necessary to submit and use that content.

You grant Cowrie Greetings the limited rights reasonably necessary to host, process, personalize and deliver submitted content for the service.

15. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
Cowrie Greetings branding, website content, software, designs, artwork, text and other materials are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

Except for the limited rights expressly granted to customers, no ownership or intellectual-property rights are transferred.

16. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
We may rely on third parties for hosting, database services, authentication, storage, payments, email, messaging, analytics, security and other infrastructure.

Third-party services have their own terms and privacy practices. Their outages or restrictions may affect availability.

17. INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS
Cowrie Greetings is intended for customers internationally. Product availability, currencies, payment methods, taxes and delivery channels may vary by country.

Customers are responsible for complying with laws applicable to their use of the service.

18. SERVICE AVAILABILITY
We use reasonable efforts to maintain the service but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability. Maintenance, security events, provider outages, internet failures and circumstances beyond reasonable control may affect the service.

19. DISCLAIMERS AND LIABILITY
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Cowrie Greetings is not liable for indirect or consequential loss caused solely by circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

20. CHANGES
We may update these Terms as the service develops or legal requirements change. The current version will be published on the website. Material changes will be communicated where required by law.

21. GOVERNING LAW
These Terms are intended to be governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection or other rights that apply to a customer in their country of residence.
